Banquets & Parties

The Overlook at the Ridge is located on the top floor of the Club House. The main dining room is large enough to seat up to 150 guests. The balcony offers breathtaking views of the entire Wasatch Front, along with additional space for dining tables and mingling. Our Chefs can create an exquisite menu that is perfect for any type of event. Our exceptional customer service will make planning your wedding or special event fun and easy. The Overlook specializes in Weddings, Tournament Luncheons, Business Functions, Corporate Holiday Parties, Award Banquets or any other special event need. Business Luncheons & Seminars

The Overlook at the Ridge is a unique get away for any business seminar. The room is spacious allowing various set up configurations. There are 3 flat screen televisions for easy access when hooking up lap tops along with a DVD player for video training material. All of the windows are equipped with black out shades to allow easy viewing of power point presentations. The secluded balcony is a perfect spot for short breaks and private restrooms are on the same level as well. Overlook offers many menus to choose from for breakfast and lunch. Light snacks and beverages also available.

Holiday Parties

Tastefully decorated for the Christmas season and the perfect location for your business Christmas party! You can watch the deer congregate on the snow covered golf course as the city lights serve as a picturesque back drop. In house Christmas music will fill the air as your guests arrive. The dining hall can seat up to 140 persons and still leave room for entertainment. Place settings with folded linen napkins and a professional wait staff sets an elegant mood for the evening. With over 50 years of catering experience, we are sure your guests will be delighted with the food and an experience that only a night out at Overlook at the Ridge can provide.

Class Reunions

The Overlook offers a classy and affordable venue for your upcoming class reunion. The entire upper level of the club house is exclusive to your group including rest rooms, the main dining room and the balcony. The main dining room can seat up to 140 guests. You can also set up dining tables on the balcony. Dance to a band or DJ on our new hardwood dance floor. Highlight old class photos and videos on the 3 flat screen TV's.

The Overlook has developed a wonderful working relationship with the staff at Harmon's Floral. Together, we have successfully taken care of hundreds of Brides and their floral needs. Harmon's Floral designers are familiar with our venue and can help you pick the perfect flowers during your free personal flower consultation onsite or at their shop just off of 3100 S and 3200 W. Wedding Cakes

Room Rental & Policies

Deposit:

A deposit of $500 will be required to hold the desired date. The remaining balance should be paid in full 1 week prior to the event date. The Overlook accepts the following payment types: Cash, check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover Card.

Event Service Charge:

On all functions, a guaranteed head count is required seven days prior. You will be charged for that amount or actual guests that attend, whichever is greater. We always plan on an additional 5% over your final head count at no charge to you.

Damages, loss of property and carpets:

Upon booking the room, you agree to be responsible for any damages to the immediate premises, carpet or any other part of the club due directly from your guests. The Ridge Golf Club will not be responsible for any damages, loss of property or articles left in the club prior to, during or after the function.

Personal Decorations:

The Overlook reserves the right to approve all decorations and signage prior to the function. At no time will anything be fastened or nailed to the walls or any other surface throughout the entire club.

Food and Beverage:

The Overlook is a full service catering facility and is capable of all of your catering needs. The Overlook does not allow any outside catering. Wedding cakes are permitted.

Tax & Service Charge:

A state tax of 8.25% will be charged on all food and beverage totals. A standard 22% service charge is charged to all food and beverage totals.

Room Rental:

Services included with the room rental fee are as follows; all set up, clean up, tables, chairs, linens, sound system, 3 flat screen TV's, DVD player, cake table, use of cake knife & server and sign in book table. We provide buffet décor, plates, silverware, napkins and servers when you use our catering service. If any other items are needed, arrangements may be made at a quoted price. The standard room rental for a ceremony and reception is only $2,500 for the room and balcony for up to 6 hours. The fee for a reception only is $2,000. This includes the room and balcony for up to 4 hours. Room Rental prices vary with the time of year, menu selection and number of guests.

Times:

Because of the fact that we are a golf course, we are somewhat obligated to the golf tournament business. Because of this the room is not available, particularly on the weekends until after 4:00 p.m. April through September. There are some instances where this may not apply. The typical time frame for a ceremony and reception is 4:00 to 10:00. The time frame for a reception only is 6:00 to 10:00.Again, these time frames are negotiable depending on the afternoon event schedule.

Refunds:

If notification of cancellation is given at least 6 months prior to the event, the deposit is fully refundable. If the event is cancelled or moved after the 6 month time frame, the deposit will only be refunded if we re-book your reserved date.

Alcoholic Beverages:

The Overlook operates under an "On Premise Beer License". This enables us to provide beer only to you and your guests in the form of "open" or "cash" bars. If you desire anything other than beer, we can not provide the beer at all. With our approval, you can bring in your own alcohol if desired. Certain rules and stipulations apply when doing so. It may be for the consumption of you and your guests only. You may not charge for the drinks unless you apply for a special events permit with the state. The beer, wine and liquor must be purchased in Utah or a Utah state liquor store. You assume all responsibilities related to the alcohol.  There is a $500 set up fee that includes the bar structure and bartender for up to 4 hours. Mixer service will be provided by The Overlook for $4.99 per person. This will include all of the cups, ice, sodas, other mixers, fruit, and other supplies needed along with a soda station for the non drinkers. All standard laws apply when serving alcohol. The Overlook reserves the right to close the bar and or event at anytime.  Security may be required (additional $500 fee) based on the number of invited guests and how long the bar is open. One again, you are responsible for all of your guests and their actions.
